Come Join The Mommy Reality Challenge

Three blogger friends are setting out to change the way the world views the reality of motherhood. Today, we are proud and positively ecstatic to announce the launch of the #mommyreality Blogging Challenge!

Meet The Mommy Reality Team:

Our Mission:

We want to provide an honest glimpse at what being a mom is all about and capture the real unedited moments on our blogs and social media accounts to spread the word. Lets remind ourselves and each other that Pinterest projects fail, milk spills, bathtub grout builds, and sometimes the kiddos have Kraft Mac and Cheese for dinner.

We don't want you to worry about your pictures being posed or perfect or that your posts are making you sound a certain way. The object of this challenge is to capture the imperfect in our lives. You will be trying to connect to your blog readers by capturing and sharing real, honest and unstaged family moments.

Our Vision:

We want to inspire both our fellow mommy bloggers and our blog readers. We want to spread the word that there is no perfect mom. That we all struggle every day to do the best for our kids and that life is full of little accidents, messes, mistakes, and mishaps and that’s what makes it interesting! We are sick of going it alone and want to join forces with other real moms out there!

How You Can Join Us:

1. Visit either A Lavender Life, JENerally Informed, or Leapfrog and Lipgloss every Friday. We will be posting the weekly Mommy Reality Challenge on all three of our blogs each and every Friday.

2. Follow our Call to Action Complete the weekly challenge on your blog and/or social media sites. The weekly challenge may be something like: post a photo of your kitchen sink as is and bravely post it to Instagram, Facebook, or Google+ with the hashtag #mommyreality. Or it may be to write a brief summary of your reality on a particular day as a working or stay at home mom with photographic evidence to show how carefree and easy your job truly is{tongue in cheek} This is also a guaranteed blog post for you every Friday or whatever day you choose to participate in the challenge, how cool is that?

3. Help Us Find You Paste your completed challenge link in the comments of that week's challenge post on any of our blogs: A Lavender Life, JENerally Informed, or Leapfrog and Lipgloss so that we know you are actively participating in the challenge and can check out your pictures and posts and showcase them on our blogs and own social media outlets.

4. Spread the Real Mom Love We will be hitting social media hard with our real mom moments, follow us on our social media sites to join us and share your own. We will be using the #mommyreality all across social media so please be sure you do the same!

If you see other moms sharing their realness on social media, please be sure to respond with the #mommyreality so more moms can find us, be inspired and get in on the fun.

5. Our Bling Please proudly display our awesome badge in the sidebar of your blog and show that you are a participating member of the Mommy Reality Challenge to help spread the word on what you are doing to inspire other moms.

6. Be Recognized When we see a post and/or picture that deserves some special real mom recognition, we will be rewarding that blogger with a spotlight on our blogs as well as a Featured Challenger Badge. Each one will be especially created for the the blog we spotlight and we promise it will be EPIC!

That sounds like a lot of fun! You'll have to remind us each Friday at the party. I almost always have dishes in the sink, but actually got caught up last night. But we won't talk about the rest of the house!

HaHa! Me too. It seems like I empty the sink only to turn around and find more bowls, glasses, plates you name it have just been added to it.

So much fun! We are so in! We'll probably join in on a different day other than Friday, since Friday this summer we'll be sharing #50photosofsummer pics. (wink wink I'll be looking for some of your summer photos to share on our blog) but we want to not stress this summer with our posts so using one day to follow your challenge will be awesome! Such a fun idea! I wonder how many exclamation marks I can put in this comment! Maybe two more?!! :)

FUN!!! I absolutely will be joining. LOVE IT. Just yesterday I looked at my daughters fish tank and she had a pencil and a race car floating in it and a toothbrush jammed into the little area to feed it. Oh this poor fish. It was such a perfect pic but the water was too foggy you couldn't see anything because of her little dirty hands. :) Looking forward to Friday's first challenge!

This is such a great idea! I can't guarantee that I will be on top of things enough in 2020 to participate often (that's MY mommy reality right now!) but I look forward to see what others are doing...
