How to Turn Your Princess Into A Mermaid

My little Rebekah has been begging for a mermaid tail for quite a long time. I found a super cute mermaid tail idea and wanted to share my simple tutorial for turning your Princess into a mermaid!




First I picked out an inexpensive towel that had a cute pattern.


Then I added sticky back VELCRO to the two ends of the top portion of the towel so that it would fit securely and easily around my princess's waist. I hot glued the VELCRO as well to make sure it would stick.

To create the mermaid tail divide the bottom of the towel in two equal potions and wrap two pony tail holders around each section.


Voila! Now you have a mermaid princess!

I just picked up a very similar towel this week at walmart! I bet my daughter would be thrilled if I did this with her :)

Hasn't really taken it off. It is only removed briefly to bathe and then straight back on :)

Oh yes, as long as it involves no cutting, only a hot glue gun and takes about 30 minutes to do I can DIY with the best of them :)

When I went online looking and saw some of the mermaid tails others had made, it was a little intimidating. Then I thought this one up and luckily it was a win craft project unlike some of my other attempts at crafting.
